We did a draping workshop today I loved it , was so easy to create any shaped bodice I wanted and very fun.

I started off by marking the centre line with calico and pinning into place

I put a pin in the side seam and a couple on the shoulder to keep the fabric in place. The fabric automatically created a dart.

I pinned in the dart, drew in the arm hole, neck line and bottom of bodice

I cut off the excess fabric and unpinned from the toille  

Pretty much the same procedure for the back of bodice

I traced round the fabric patterns lightly and drew in the lines properly with a ruler and a French curve, then I added the correct pattern markings. Finito ! I loved doing the draping workshop it feels to easy to be acceptable compared to the pattern drafting workshop we did a couple of weeks back ! Definitely will be draping again
